We are really happy to see the great interest for the "Welcome to Sweden" event - it was fully booked within a few hours. It is indeed a pity that we cannot accept everyone who wants to join our project, but understandably that is impossible.

We also have a long waiting list, in fact as many as are enrolled in the event itself. So if anyone needs to cancel for some reason, you must let us know immediately, so that we can find someone to substitute you.

Now when this first stage is finished, we will take it easy for a couple of months. Harley is still attending the Servas general assembly in New Zealand and staying on Down-Under for several weeks after that. When he returns, I will be going with my family (7 persons!) to India for a month, returning in early December. But we will both be able to answer any queries you might have, just send an email!

In January next year we will start the planning in detail. Among other things we will provide you with a list of Servas families in Sweden who are interested in meeting you after the week in Uppsala. You have to contact these families yourselves in good time to arrange your stay with them.

You must also decide which excursions you want to choose (from the list on the web page under the tab "Other activities") for the two last days of your stay in Uppsala. These excursions must be booked well in advance, especially if some goals become more popular than others, which will mean bigger groups. If you have any special interests, it might perhaps be possible for us to arrange a special study visit for you, please let us know!

If you can all send me a nice photo of yourself, I will make a contact list and send to everyone in due time.

Do you know what I think is so fascinating about Servas and meeting new Servas friends? It is so simple to make new friends, because they are like old friends from the very start. We have common values when it comes to beliefs, openness, and friendliness towards our fellow men and women. That is why it is so easy to mix with Servas people. I really think we should be proud of our organisation, it makes the world a better place to live in!
That's all for now. Live well, love much, and laugh often!
